Defective Sony cb 801 vintage handheld walkie talkies. Both seem to emit static when a signal is not sent which may be how they were designed at the time due to older technology. These are solidly well built and rare units but are being sold for parts or repair due to the conditions described above.
They operate on 1/9 volt battery each not included.
One handset seems to transfer a signal to the other when spoken through, but the other handset does not do anything when the button is pressed except emit only static.
