Microphones are built into the side of the case as shown, both have very nice straps also.

These are large radios, weighing almost 6 pounds each without batteries, they are high power rated at RF output power 500MW. Both use 8 d-cell batteries, antenna's extend to 7 feet tall, all buttons and knobs are excellent as are the antenna's.

Really very nice radios except for a slight bit of light rust on the outside of the cases as shown.
