The battery does hold a charge, but it is not guaranteed. This is a Kenwood tk 290 vhf radio in excellent condition.

They are easy to program or clone by software and a cable not included. It is in the 146-174 freq range and will program TX and Rx out of band into the ham band.

It will include the radio, antenna, and either the KC-19 basic or the KC-20 rapid charger. This radio will do wide and narrow band. These radios are some of the best radios ever made and are used by government, police, fire, business and ham radio operates.
