The eartec headsets had an extra cord added to them so that when you plug it into the radio, the other end had a push-button talk feature, which allows you to push it and talk rather than having. But, they have been charged and are working properly at this time. I do not know the life expectancy of the batteries. They have been used about a half dozen times on video shoots and than stored for years, so they are in excellent condition.

They've been used very little but stored for years, so I can't guarantee they will hold a length y charge. I have two radius SP21 walkies talkie radios up for offer that were slightly used. Included with them are two eartec headsets that are also slightly used.

I bought these items new when I was in wedding video production as it was a great way to communicate with the second cameraman while shooting the ceremony.
