The m85ul plus bp292ul, hm184ul all meet ANSI Tia-4950-a, ul requirements for:- intrinsically safe: class i, division 1, groups c, d ii, e, f, g iii. Each channel is programmable with CTS and DECs tone. The ip67 waterproof rating protects radio, even if dropped in water. The m85 and built-in voice scrambler provides private communications between stations.

These icons and indicators improve the user-experience operation. The m85 also includes a continuous 20-position rotary selector and on off volume knob, which is tilted for easy access. For emergency situations the m85 includes mob alarm, man down and lone worker functions.
