I charged it each day before going on bridge. Comes with plug in charger. I personally used this radio when was a bridge operator two years ago. I never had a problem with the battery when was using it.
My only complaint with the radio is it doesn't have provisions for an external microphone. I've hoarded some radios over the years and time has come to clean out I no longer need or use. Its been sitting around for at least a year and to my surprise it turned on, however I cant guarantee its future reliability. It does have a belt clip and carry strap.
I ship via USPS ground CONUSA only. It works just fine.
