Amazon has new batteries for them at $20 each search gmrs x1 or x2. They were in great working condition the last time I had used the chatterboxes about 4 yrs ago.
I went to put a charge on them to make sure they still worked and neither one would take a charge. I am pretty positive that with new batteries these units will work as they did when I used them last. They have voice recognition so the Pitt switch is not required. These were great to talk to my wife while riding.
I bought the x1 brand new so I have everything for it that it originally came with: the radio, push-to-talk switch, charger, headset full face, clips, etc just no Box and the x2 I bought used only has the radio, clip and headset full face no charger. The battery on one is 2004 and 2002 on the other. I had the jumper wire to interconnect the two units but I am unable to find it. These units are several years old at least 7 yrs.
