I have these radios reasonably priced and as an added incentive, free USPS first class shipping is included. The full original operating manual is included with radios. They are very clean except for a few minor scuff marks, but while being stored, one radio ended up missing the top cover over external speaker mic jacks and rubber button display light was damaged.

These radios operate on 4 AAA batteries, preferably alkaline, but they will also work with NIH nickel metal hydrate re-chargeable batteries. This is a nice pair of clean, completely functioning Cobra model FRS-250 family radio service 2-way radios. These radios offer 14 main channels but also allow 38 subchannel to reduce the chance of someone else being on same frequency.

The actual switch under rubber still works so I cut another small piece of and inserted it in area functions properly. Other functions include: talk confirmation tone, call ring button, retractable antenna's, auto battery saver, squelch to automatically block out weaker signals, and many more not found on similar 2-way radios. They also have a private call voice scramble function so no one else can eavesdrop on your conversations.

These radios have been only used a few times when moving across country, so my wife I could stay in touch while driving separate vehicles. These 2-way radios are perfect for family outings, camping, hiking in the wood, bicycling, long distance traveling, etc. If using the NIH batteries, radios have charging base contacts on back can be recharged any compatible Cobra.
