I have had great success with this setup using an HT 245 dual band ht. Forums cheap way to get digital. So to aid in my laziness I made a patch cable connect ht PC sound card work PS, SST, cw and some of the other digital modes that can be used with.

Discussion in 'ham radio discussions' started by kf4lne, APR 25, I haven't tried this yet using the sound card software for Apr's and such so can't say if it works some of more robust digital modes, but will keep you updated as further test wonderful device. Mic on 3 32 jack and spl 1/8 once you adjust the volume PC radio set vox sens shouldn't have to ever touch it again. I am also working on other projects using this vox adapter so stay tuned for more. This setup is designed to work with any ht that a radio shack compatible spl mic will fit.

With this you can use many of the sound card digital mode software such Asama SST, ham scope and more. I will come out and say it.
