For TX and Rx pl tone eliminates you hearing other murs users that you dont want to hear that are using either carrier squelch or a pl/spl other than 67. I think pl decode is such a great feature.

Want to hear others not using the 67. 940 both channels use a pl tone of 67. This radio beats the quality of other murs radio brands hands down, such as made by radio shack, and other cheap brands.

Channel 1 is 151. To set radio in decode mode, ground the back of the mic run a ground wire from the mic hangup holder to the radio ground and when you hang it up, press the speaker button until the zing Ag icon goes off, then the radio is only listening for radios that transmit the 67. Its on 2 murs frequencies.

820 and channel 2 is 151.
