This radio is new but I programmed it but other than that,not used. Note: no pl tones are programmed because there are so many possibilities. But instructions tell you in simple steps how to add only 3 inches long plus antenna, battery and adapter is included. Antenna accepts an SAM connection so you can hook up an external antenna if unscrew rubber duck.

Great for business band or ham radio. Frs channels 23-27 is programmed for license free murs freq. And 410-470 mhz.

Channels 1-22 is programmed for family radio service frequencies. Includes instructions. 2 way radio transmits from 137-174 mhz. Channel 61 programmed for various 2 meter ham repeater frequencies need at least technician license to transmit on these 51-59 for various simplex ham frequencies need license to talk on these great for anyone who wants to use the radio right away without wondering how to program it.
